Roller Hockey in the sun (Oktitans)

Ian Morrison at the Oktitans

Imagine a game of roller hockey with 2 field players and a keeper on each team, a portable rink 24 x 11 metres with twelve minutes each way in 35°C next to the beach in Spain. That’s the “Oktitans”. Last weekend Ian Morrison, James Taylor and Brendan Barker were all invited to compete for the €3000 first prize. Top names from the roller hockey world all played in this action packed tournament in the small Mediterranean town of Vilanova south on Barcelona. Our boys played well managing to get to the quarter finals knocking out some of the big names from the top divisions in Spain.
