Over the next three months I will be travelling to the south east of England, Northern Spain and South West Switzerland to photograph matches from the CERS Cup, European league and top European National leagues. This is the time of year for rich pickings of matches to photograph, as all of the national leagues start and the preliminary matches of the CERS Cup and the new format European League begin. Teams from all over Europe will travel to foreign lands to compete, some trying to win these prestigious awards and others just taking the opportunity to play some of the great teams.

Personally I like to travel to different rinks to capture the atmosphere and show the character and skill of the individual players when put against unfamiliar opposition. International competition is not the “run of the mill” match, it brings in the crowds and raises media interest thus raising public awareness of our sport. International competition at the younger ages also commands a hunger for pictures. This is evident in the website report statistics, after photographing an International tournament the figures showing the number of visits to my site will double as players search the albums to scrutinise the images for signs of dominance and skill.

See the first set of the pictures next week when I will be putting on the website new photos from the Swiss premier league followed the next week by one of the first European League games (Bury St. Edmunds v Viareggio, Italy to be played on Saturday 20th October at the Pier Pavilion, Herne Bay starting at 7.45pm).
